The major menu options are presented - Circulation, Cataloguing, Stocktake, Administration, Help, Logout.

Move the cursor over the Cataloguing tab and its options are displayed.

Search Catalogue allows a search of the complete catalogue.

Once an item is found, the librarian staff member has the choice of Addding an Item, Editing the Catalogue record, Duplicating this Catalogue record, Deleting this Catalogue record, Adding a Reserve on this Catalogue record or Queuing a New Spine Label for later printing on a laser printer.

Short Catalogue allows a quick entry of the catalogue details (ISBN, author, title, material type) then the item details (typically status, site, barcode)

Add Catalogue Record allows entry of complete cataloguing information manually, or by downloading the data directly from the SCIS Web site.

Reports gives a choice of catalogue reports, index reports, statistic reports and material reports.

Move the cursor over the Circulation tab and its options are displayed.

Check Out Items allows a library staff member to lend items to patrons. After scanning the patron's barcode, their details are presented. Any items which are overdue are highlighted and an audible alert given. Scanning the barcode of the item to be loaned, records the loan against the patron and calculates the date the item is due to be returned.

Check Out Items also allows a library staff member to see the materials on reserve for this patron.

Return Items allows a library staff member to enter items which have been returned. After scanning the item's barcode, summary details are presented. If an item is on reserve, it is highlighted in green and an audible alert is given. For libraries with multiple sites, you are given an audible alert to any items which belong to another site and visually with a coloured highlight.

Search Patron allows a search of patrons. The patron's details are displayed, and the library staff member can then edit the patron's details, obtain information on the patron's borrowings, reserves and Borrowing History or can Check Out Items to this patron.
